We love our ALUMNI!

by iauedu

We love when our IAU Alumni come to visit from overseas! Since a majority our students are distance learning students, it is very exciting to have them see our main campus in person. Mr. Rammohan Sundaram, MBA graduate went off to pursue his love of business by founding Network Play, one of India’s fastest growing media company with assets through alliances across various touch points including Web, Mobile, Direct-to-Home TV, Events and Publishing. Having started it’s operations in October 2008, NetworkPlay has been a pioneer in turning around the dynamics of the business in the marketplace.

We had a lovely time showing him around Los Angeles, take a look!

Greetings from IAU, OC Campus!

by iauedu

An email was sent to us a few days ago from OC Campus’ ESL teacher, Ms. Kat Avila! It reads:

Happy holidays, everyone!

Hyeyoung and guest Anizia Souto forwarded photos of our end-of-the-year luncheon at Myung Dong Kal Guksu restaurant.

We were very fortunate to have independent businesswoman and Portuguese-language teacher Anizia come down to speak to our ESL class about Christmas in Brazil. She also shared with us some tips on language learning.

Also, we were able to meet the new finance instructor Michael Kinnen. He’ll be teaching online.

It was a fun meet-and-greet, and the food was very delicious, too.

Warm regards,
Kat

Mr. Kha visits IAU!

by iauedu

Mr. Kha, an IAU DBA student from Vietnam came to visit IAU over the weekend.
After visiting IAU’s Los Angeles Campus, Dean Langvart gave Mr. Kha a driving tour of Los Angeles and some of its sites. The sites included the “Hollywood” sign, Man Chinese Theater, Beverly Hills, and Rodeo Drive. We later met up at the famous Getty Museum in Los Angeles with its fantastic architecture and hillside views. Its is estimated 1.3 million visitors annually makes it one of the most visited museums in the United States. We had lunch at the Getty Restaurant, where Mr. Kha enjoyed French-American cuisine.

After, Mr. Kha visited “Little Saigon”, the oldest, largest, and most prominent Vietnamese community in Westminster and Garden Grove in Orange County, California, where Vietnamese Americans constitute 30.7% and 21.4% of the population.

We had a great time! The rest of the pictures from the visit are available here!
