DETC MEETING!

by iauedu
Amongst other educational advancements that IAU partakes in, we are glad to announce our involvement with The Distance Education and Training Council (DETC).
“The DETC Accrediting Commission defines, maintains, and promotes educational excellence in distance education institutions. The Commission is dedicated to fostering quality assurance, protection of the rights of the students and institutional self-improvement through voluntary accreditation via peer evaluation.”
On Thursday, September 8, 2011, the DETC held a regional meeting in Irvine for Southern California Institutions to network, share, and update the local academic community on new happenings in the Washington Scene as well as updates from CA’s Bureau for Private Postsecondary Education.

Other schools also in attendance include: Concord Law School of Kaplan University, California Southern University, California Coast University, University of the People, Allied American University, and many more!

We mingled with representatives from other schools and helped to gain a greater understanding of other educational advancements taking place around us. We enjoyed the experience and returned to our respective campuses with an exciting spirit for education!
